Meet the team who add excitement to your employee communications.

Stitch is a Bristol-based internal communication agency that specialises in creating share plan communications.
We’ve been bringing share plans to life for many top FTSE and global companies since 2002, and our team is expert, creative, knowledgeable and approachable. Say hello…

Sarah Alder

Sarah Alder

Director

Sarah set up Stitch in 2011 with Emma. She has an eagle-eye for detail and masses of project management experience across all areas of share plan communications. Whether it’s handling dozens of translations, an old-fashioned print job or scoping out a new technical build, Sarah welcomes any challenge, no matter how tough…as long as she’s had her 9am and 3pm cups of tea!

Out of work stitching?

Sarah has a love affair with cookbooks – current count 300 – curry, and Marmite. Literally speaking, her stitches are crochet and knitting.

Her proudest Stitch moment?

“Taking on our first employee, Charlotte, and helping Vodafone to win the ifsProShare and GEO awards for our Reward Talk work. And I love making clients feel like the project has been a breeze when in the background I’ve been working like crazy and overcoming all sorts of obstacles…!”

Emma Dawson

Emma Dawson

Director

Emma set up Stitch with Sarah back in 2011. Together they had the vision to apply their quirky skillsets to share plan communications, with great success for clients from Vodafone to Rio Tinto, Prudential, Centrica and many others. An expert in share plan communications, she really understands how big companies work – she’s a dab hand at navigating compliance and regulatory requirements whilst keeping solutions bright, engaging and creative.

Out of work stitching?

Emma is a very much a ‘knitter’ – though she says her biggest challenge is finding time to do just that!

Her proudest Stitch moment?

“I love seeing my ideas in place and working, but my proudest moment so far has to be winning the double ProShare award for best comms and best use of technology with Vodafone.”

Jane Darlington

Jane Darlington

Sales and Marketing

Jane looks after all things sales and marketing for Stitch. She spends her days seeking out clients who need our help, calling, networking, chatting to key industry bods. She also handles our marketing, research, PR and more – one very busy lady! She’s been with us since the very beginning, and enjoys working with friends: “No airs, no graces, everyone just cracks on and gets the job done. I love how one minute we’re sharing wool and bread making tips, then in the next breath we’re dissecting a new campaign or bit of industry gossip…”

Out of work stitching?

When not sat Stitching Jane can usually be found doing something a little more active, running, cycling or jumping about for her local netball team.

Her proudest Stitch moment?

“Every time we start working with a new client! I really do enjoy the challenge of finding people who need our help’.

Amy Brimble

Amy Brimble

Creative Account Director

You’re in safe hands with Amy. She brings with her 15 years’ experience of managing projects for a wide range of clients across various industries. She means business when it comes to ensuring schedules are met and the team stay on brief, but most importantly she strives to ensure clients are happy!

Out of work stitching?

Amy is a true film buff. She loves getting to the cinema when she can, otherwise it’s movie night at home on a weekend with a well deserved Ben & Jerry’s!

What does she enjoy most about Stitch?

“Coming from a creative background I really enjoy the initial concept stage of a project where we can throw ideas around and have a little fun.”

Jess Evans

Jess Evans

Account Manager

Jess has experience working with big brands in video production and events. Managing projects and clients for over 7 years, Jess enjoys keeping busy, has a real ‘can-do’ attitude and loves making stuff happen. She is a hyper organised project manager who loves writing lists!

Out of work stitching?

After living in France for three years, Jess is a true Francophile. She is also learning to play the piano (badly!) and coordinating a music and arts festival in the nearby village of Backwell.

What does she enjoy most about Stitch?

“I really love the diversity of projects, in one day I can be working on video, print and a digital campaign – it definitely keeps me on my toes!”

Sophie Howell

Sophie Howell

Account Manager

Sophie joined the Stitch team in 2016, when she made the move from London to Bristol. She has over 6 years’ experience in project and account management and has worked with a score of exciting clients and brands. Her calm approach allows her to take control of the most challenging of projects and she loves nothing more than a satisfied client!

Out of work stitching?

Sophie’s main love in life is food – when she’s not cooking up a storm in the kitchen, she can be found sampling the delights the Bristol food scene has to offer. She has an obsession for Mexico, where she used to live, and is also a bit of a language geek!

What does she enjoy most about Stitch?

“Being part of such a passionate and creative team where no one day is the same as the next!”

Charlotte Cooper

Charlotte Cooper

Communication Consultant

A former Stitch Project Manager, Charlotte now uses her share plan know-how to help clients plan and roll-out their communications. You’ll often find her copywriting for clients and coming up with creative solutions and strategies for their problems. Charlotte is also our self-appointed quiz-mistress.

Out of work stitching?

After last year’s bobble hat success, Charlotte is looking forward to improving her knitting skills. Outside of the crafting realm, she enjoys puzzles of all kinds (think Rubik’s cubes and sudoku), cooking up a storm and planning her next travel adventure.

What does she enjoy most about Stitch?

“It’s very satisfying to get my head around the complexities that our industry brings, whether that’s a change in tax rules or a new digital solution. On a more light hearted note, I enjoy working with the Stitch team – full of interesting minds and skills.”

Mim Van der Waal

Mim Van der Waal

Account Manager

Multi-talented Mim is a graphic design graduate with a passion for video production and project management. She spends her days making sure we deliver on every promise, keeping clients and suppliers on track every step of the way. Her design background helps us ensure the highest standards at all times – she has a keen eye for layout inaccuracies.

Out of work stitching?

Mim loves to be outdoors, whether it’s riding horses or running around the Wiltshire countryside. She has an obscene obsession with Christmas and loves a good cup of tea. She is currently trying (not very) hard to wean herself off her daily 10 cups.

What does she enjoy most about Stitch?

“I love how different each client can be. We always build strong bonds throughout our projects resulting in excellent work and usually some laughs along the way.”

Lauren Read

Lauren Read

Account Manager

Lauren comes from a fast-paced and varied communications background, predominantly focusing on delivering effective and innovative campaign work in public relations, digital and events. Lauren is a multitasking expert who seamlessly combines excellent project management and client relationships – all while keeping us up to date on her latest dance hall routines.

Out of work stitching?

Lauren finds great enjoyment in playing the Game of Thrones theme tune on her piano, and when she’s not doing that she can be found doing a spot of gardening, relaxing with her three legged cat or sitting in Bagel Boy enjoying an ‘Independent Boy’ or a ‘Lady Boy’ with rosemary salt fries.

What does she enjoy most about Stitch?

Everyone here at Stitch has a great energy with a real passion for what they do. The thing that first attracted me was their amazing ability to achieve creativity in unexpected places (i.e. share plans!) and usually within the branding confines of FTSE100 company guidelines! It’s also a massive bonus to be working at Temple Studios (it’s a great place, you should come and visit!) – we’ve got it all… ping pong, amazing food and a great little community.

Ollie Griffiths

Ollie Griffiths

Marketing Intern

Ollie’s a Marketing Communications student from Bournemouth University who is spending a year with us as part of his degree. He prides himself on being an excellent researcher who loves getting into the nitty gritty of every detail. You can normally find him refining our marketing strategies and getting stuck into learning the ropes on big client projects. He’s also possibly the slickest dresser in the office…

Out of work stitching?

Ollie is big on football and in particular, Portsmouth FC. When he’s not wondering what their next away kit will look like, you can usually find him eyeing up his next pair of trainers or planning his next festival. Unusually for a Stitcher, he’s also completely anti-tea and coffee!

What does he enjoy most about Stitch?

“It’s great to be able to put the Marketing Communications skills I’ve learned at uni into practice – I’m particularly enjoying meeting clients and finding out about the different sorts of projects that go on at Stitch HQ”.
